I hope that this newsletter finds you all adjusting well to the new social distancing way of life that has come upon us. To help you during this time, NEF is offering a 10% discount on its courses through April 24th. Take advantage and get that certification you’ve been wanting.
The NEF Board held its Mid-Year meeting in March and accomplished many things. First, I would like to welcome Steve Nellis to the Board as a Public Trustee. Steve is the President of American Council for Construction Education. NEF’s programs are recognized by ACCE, so having Steve on our board will be a great asset moving forward. The Board also approved NEF becoming a member of ACCE.
An informational PowerPoint presentation has been created with a script for anyone who would like to learn more about NEF and have their own seminar to promote NEF. Once all edits have been completed, it will be available by contacting NEF.
A new tab has been added to the NEF website for Online Testing. This page offers all information needed to be informed about the online testing procedure.
A review of the Strategic Plan was conducted and will be posted to the website.
For Annual Conference, NEF will be launching an online auction for the donated paintings that were received. Look for details regarding the auction information in the future. The board also made a change to the donations for the raffle table. This year, we would like to suggest that donors send in a monetary donation that NEF will then use to purchase high value items to be raffled off through the Arm’s Length tickets. Please note on your check that the donation is for Annual Conference and NEF will give you credit on your Ladder Club for the donation. The deadline for receiving your donation is July 15, 2020. If you have any questions, please contact us.
There are more exciting things to come in the future that I have not yet revealed. Continue to read the newsletters to stay informed.
Finally, please remember that NEF no longer has a toll free number. We all have cell phones now with free long distance calling. This change was made in an effort to cut costs for the Foundation.
