Are you looking to add Construction Industry Technician (CIT) to your resume? NEF has the opportunity for you year-round, with study on your own courses, but this year at Annual Conference an instructor-led class will be held. Join NEF Coordinator, Melanie Myers, on Tuesday, August 11th from 8-5 to review the materials, ask questions, and challenge yourself against other participants with review questions.

CIT subject matter includes lessons on types of construction, forms of business ownership, contractual arrangements, contract documents, and the construction process.  Those that may benefit from this program include:

Superintendents, foreman, and skilled trade workers looking to move into management or supervisory positions.

Office staff and administration that need or are looking for a mor comprehensive view of the construction industry.

Supportive industries with little or no construction background such as insurance, lawyers, accountants, and others.

College and high school students in construction and design academic programs.

Visit the NEF website nef-edu.org/cit/ to purchase your book and exam. There is also a course companion available which provides chapter reviews – PowerPoint content guided verbally by an instructor, answers to chapter review questions, and a quiz that resembles the types of questions you will encounter on the test.

It is strongly recommended that you read the textbook prior to attending the class. The class will serve as a review of the material only.

If you have any questions, please contact NEF at nawicedu@gmail.com or 817-764-2638.
