Course Description

This instructor-led course will review how construction drawings are developed, organized, and interpreted. Class discussions will include, but are not limited to, drawing types, symbols, details, sections, and specific elements that comprise the construction drawings in conjunction with the project manual. Participants will use construction drawings in a series of exercises to help find information to construct a building.

  • Use real construction drawings and project manuals with activities to interpret information given in the construction documents.
  • Free access to Procore where all drawings will be stored and accessed throughout the course.

Course Assessment & Certification

  • Online tests are administered at the end of each 2-hour course.
  • Each assessment covers the chapters reviewed during that class session.
  • Participants will have 48 hours to complete each chapter assessment.
  • Each assessment is 20 questions. A passing score of 75% or greater is required.
  • To obtain the Construction Drawings Professional (CDP) designation, a participant must pass five out of the six assessments.
